Just stop. Stop asking yourself “Why? Why did this happen to me?”. Just stop.
Many of my clients keep asking these questions. I have never dwelled on these Why questions but I understand where they come from. Human beings need to be able to understand why things happen in their lives for one of two reasons:
First, so that they can learn from it to change their behavior so that something this traumatic never happens again.
The second reason is much more insidious. By focusing on why something happened, YOU STAY STUCK. And herein lies the problem. Well, it may not be a problem if you don’t mind staying stuck where you are.
Personally, I have a problem with that.
Remember? One of my two Life Mottos is “I’ll go anywhere as long as it’s forward”. There you go.
Asking why repeatedly keeps you stuck because there’s really no answer, is there?
If you’re one of the ones who falls into the second category, it’s time to stop asking why.
Move on. It doesn’t matter. Life is sometimes not fair. Suck it up, Buttercup. Better love next time.
Hold your head high and learn to love AND like yourself. Then decide who you want to invite to be a part of your life.
But please, stop asking the Universe (or God or whomever) WHY!
